Drop Down Adapters A drop down adapter is a small piece of glass that makes a big difference. It sits between your rig's joint and your banger or nail, moving the heat away from the piece itself. Our drop downs range from 0.5" all the way up to 3", so you can dial in exactly how much distance you want. What a Drop Down Does Because the banger gets hot, seating it directly in the joint puts repeated thermal stress right where your rig is most fragile. A drop down relocates that heat, helping protect the joint from cracking over time. The extra chamber also acts as a reclaim catch, keeping your rig cleaner between uses. Getting the Right Fit Drop downs come in different joint sizes and angles, so match the size (commonly 10mm, 14mm, or 18mm) and the male/female configuration of your rig before ordering. Like everything we make, our adapters are cut from thick borosilicate glass, don't be fooled by thinner imitations that chip at the joint.
