Created as a documentary, "Katha, a path of knowledge" follows a real Kathak dance guru and his disciples on their journey to mastery: a path paved with expert movements, extensive practice, meaningful rest and caring encouragement. On a similar quest for excellence, the Katha collection has been built on a play with abstraction in Banarasi textiles. The designs explore the multiple possibilities of classic artistry, playing with contemporary patterns that translate into physical experiences. Through a deft play in the warp and weft movement, the textiles convey the impression of physical textures on handwoven fabrics, revealing the prowess of fine craftsmanship.
