Modal Satin is exactly what its name suggests — the smoothness of modal fibre woven into a satin construction. The result is a fabric that is lighter than polyester satin, cooler than silk-blend satin, and considerably easier to drape. It is semi-synthetic in origin, made from beech tree pulp, which gives it a breathable quality that most synthetic satins lack.
