Bernard Singleton was born in Charleston, South Carolina and now farms in Indian Trail, North Carolina. He connects his personal and shared African American history and culture around food and medicine in his African Botanical Garden. This project focuses on the importance that plants, food, and farming have had throughout Black history and culture in the continent of Africa and in the Americas.
