About

Toyota Esquire from Japan The Toyota Esquire Hybrid is the dressed-up member of a family you may already know. Underneath it is the same vehicle as the Noah and the Voxy, built on the ZWR80 and ZRR80 platforms, but Toyota gave it a heavy chrome grille, extra sound deadening and a more considered interior. It was never sold new in Australia. Every one here was selected at auction by our own branch in Osaka, imported under our own licence, and complied in-house at our Dandenong workshop. Esquire, Noah or Voxy? Mechanically identical, three different characters. The Noah is plain and practical, the Voxy is the sporting one with the aggressive front end, and the Esquire is the quiet, upmarket option. If you want the platform without the van look, this is the one. Drivetrains 1.8L petrol-electric — the 2ZR-FXE with e-CVT, usually in seven-seat form. Official Japanese figures sit near 4.2 L/100km, with most owners seeing 5 to 6 L/100km in Australian traffic. 2.0L petrol — the 3ZR-FAE with CVT, commonly in the eight-seat layout. Simpler and cheaper to buy. Grades run Xi and Gi, with Gi Premium Package the best equipped and the one we import most often. Availability changes as cars arrive and sell, so the listings below are what is actually on the ground. Inside Power sliding doors on both sides, a low step-in height, second-row captain's chairs on long slides in seven-seat cars, and a third row that folds to the sides for a flat load floor. Most 2017-onwards cars carry Toyota Safety Sense with pre-collision warning, lane departure alert and automatic high beam, though fitment varies by grade and year. Each listing states what that particular car has. Hybrid Battery Support We build and fit hybrid packs ourselves at our Dandenong workshop from brand new NiMH cells to original specification, never refurbished, backed by a 3-year / 100,000 km warranty. Battery service is available to customers in Victoria and Tasmania, so a Toyota Esquire Hybrid bought here is supported well
