About
Toyota Noah Voxy Esquire Hybrid The Toyota Noah Voxy Esquire Hybrid range is three versions of one very good idea. All three share the same ZWR80 platform, the same 1.8-litre petrol-electric drivetrain and the same cabin architecture. What separates them is the face and the trim, and none of them were sold new in Australia. Every one here was selected at auction by our own branch in Osaka, imported under our own licence, and complied in-house at our Dandenong workshop. Telling Them Apart Noah — the plain, practical one. Softer styling, and usually the best value of the three. Voxy — the sporting one, with a heavy aggressive front end and darker cabin trim. The ZS grade adds the body kit and alloy wheels. Esquire — the upmarket one, with a chrome grille, extra sound deadening and a more considered interior. Mechanically there is nothing to choose between them, so buy on looks, on grade, and on what is in stock. Availability changes as cars arrive and sell. The Drivetrain Toyota's 2ZR-FXE 1.8-litre petrol-electric with an e-CVT drives the front wheels. Official Japanese figures sit near 4.2 L/100km, and most owners report 5 to 6 L/100km in Australian traffic, which is remarkable for a seven-seat vehicle that will carry a family and their luggage. There is no charging to worry about and no range anxiety, because the system charges itself. Equipment Expect power sliding doors on both sides, a low step-in height that suits children and older passengers, second-row captain's chairs on long slides, and a third row that folds to the sides for a flat load floor. Most 2017-onwards cars carry Toyota Safety Sense with pre-collision warning, lane departure alert and automatic high beam, though fitment varies by grade and year. Each listing states what that particular car has. Hybrid Battery Support The battery is the question every buyer asks. We build and fit hybrid packs ourselves at our Dandenong workshop from brand new NiMH cells to original specification, never refurbished,
