A nudge bar can provide an additional physical barrier in front of parts of the bumper and grille and can also provide mounting points for compatible accessories on selected designs. It should not be treated as equivalent to a full bull bar or assumed to provide protection in a major collision or animal strike. Vehicle-Specific Fitment Nudge bars are not universal. Mounting points, bumper shape, sensors, cameras and driver-assistance systems vary between vehicle generations.
