Founded in 1994 by Swiss-born Consuelo Castiglioni, the Italian house has long been known for its use of colour and pattern. Since the appointment of Francesco Risso as Creative Director in 2016, Marni has developed in his vision—creating a new form of luxury which embraces the beauty in the bizarre and eclectic . Bright colours, playful proportions and extreme texture are all signatures of the house under Risso's watch. Francesco Rissi steps aside to welcome Marni's new Creative Director - Meryll Rogge, appointed in July 2025. She's a Belgian designer with her own brand who spent 7 years on the design team at Marc Jacobs to then become the head of design at Dries Van Noten.
