About
When looking over the iconic Jordan silhouettes, it's not unfair to say that the Air Jordan 2 is often seen as the ugly duckling of the 'golden era' or Jordan design. The AJ1 remains one of the most iconic sneakers of all time; AJ3 is remembered for introducing visible air, elephant print and Tinker Hatfield to the franchise whilst the Jordan 2 is mostly considered an oddity. Not until the AJ9 do we really come across a Jordan of similar divisiveness and that's down to the fact MJ never played in them! Jordan did play in the AJ2 though, and he played well. For some the Jordan 2 is an icon in its own way. The swoosh-less uppers, premium styling and foam midsole were all groundbreaking for their time – the OGs were even made in Italy!
