4-Ply Recovery Straps Made in the USA, our four-ply recovery straps are constructed from four layers of high-quality, industrial-grade nylon. Ranging from 2" to 12" wide, they are ideal for a variety of recovery applications. They also have reinforced Cordura ® on each end, providing added abrasion- and cut-resistance. This will increase the lifespan of your 4-ply snatch strap. Working Load Limits of Snatch Straps Choosing a strap with the right WLL is crucial, but there are other variables you want to consider too: plies and width. The more plies a strap has, the stiffer the sling. A wider sling means more flexibility. What are Recovery Straps? Recovery straps, also known as snatch straps , are used to recover vehicles from ditches, mud holes, and any other situation where a vehicle is stuck. Because they are made of nylon, the straps are able to stretch during this process. This lessens the force applied to both vehicles - the vehicle being recovered and the recovery vehicle.
