Aircraft-Style L-Track Tie Downs Airline track, also known as L-track or logistic track, is a versatile tie-down system used to secure a wide range of cargo. It's the strongest style of L-track we offer, making it the ideal choice for holding items like motorcycles , ATVs, and utility vehicles . This airline L-track can be installed in your pickup truck, utility trailer, or van. The large number of attachment points (they run the entire length of the 6' or 12' rail ) make it easy to adjust your setup to suit the specific vehicle or cargo you are transporting. M ade from a high-quality grade 6351 aluminum, aircraft track tie down is stronger, thicker, and wide than our standard aluminum L-track . It still offers a low profile - perfect for situations where you are tight on space - and the square-edge design allows for a recessed installation, providing a smooth, flush surface. Airline L-Track History Aircraft-style L-track gets its name from use in the airline industry. The track is traditionally installed on the floor of the aircraft, with the seats attaching to the track rather than the aircraft itself for quick re-positioning. Our track should only be used in tie-down applications. It is not approved by the FAA for use in the airline industry as seat track. It is also not certified for official wheelchair restraint use in buses, vans, and other transport vehicles. Aircraft Style Track Accessories Airline track tie downs are compatible with all of our L-track fittings and accessories , including single and double stud fittings . We also offer a filler strip that can be inserted into unused attachment points. This has two main benefits: it simplifies rolling cargo over the track, and it keeps debris out of the holes.
