About
Men's sungas are Brazilian swimming trunks. The word 'sunga' comes from the Portuguese word for swimming trunk . But it's a cross between a swimming brief and a trunk. Sunga swimwear originated in Brazil as a modern alternative to a swimming short. The sunga swimwear style is characterised by a tight fit, a horizontal cut, short sides and a looser waistline. It has a leg length or outer seam between a swimming brief and a swimming boxer or short. The shorter leg provides a body-hugging fit that allows easy movement whilst you party and play. The Sunga cut creates a horizontal band around the waist, which is considered more flattering to the male body type. They are sexy swimming trunks without being too extreme. Sunga swimwear has the perfect balance for days at the beach. Hence, Sungas are deeply rooted in Brazilian beach culture.
