About
Spline ring gages inspect an external spline — the form cut onto a shaft, stub shaft or coupling end. The ring checks the effective fit of the complete form, confirming the shaft will assemble into its mating hub at the specified class of fit. Spline forms we supply Involute — curved-flank form used across most power-transmission splines. Helical — involute form cut at a helix angle. Straight-sided — parallel flanks for heavy-duty and legacy designs. Serration — fine-pitch vee form for shallow, high-count applications. Made to your print Every spline ring gage is made to order. Provide the number of teeth, pitch, pressure angle, class of fit and length of engagement — or simply send the print — and we will quote it. Final inspection is completed in an environmentally controlled ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Plug gages for the mating internal spline are on the Spline Plug Gages page.
