G&L was founded by Leo Fender, George Fullerton ( hence the G and L ) and Dale Hyatt in 1979 and is still located in Fullerton, California. They make guitars, basses, effects, and licence BBE Sound Audio Technology. Leo's wife Phillis Fender still holds a position as Honorary Chairperson.
