About
Angel’s Envy Bourbon – Port Cask Finished Kentucky Bourbon Angel’s Envy was founded in 2011 by the late Lincoln Henderson — master distiller at Brown-Forman for 40 years — along with his son Wes Henderson. The concept: take exceptional Kentucky straight bourbon and finish it in port wine barrels. One of the first and most successful premium finished bourbons in the market, helping define the cask-finishing category. The Angel’s Envy Lineup Angel’s Envy Bourbon (Port Cask Finish) — The flagship. Kentucky straight bourbon finished in ruby port wine barrels for 3–6 months. Dried cherry, plum, dark fruit, and subtle sweetness at 86.6 proof. One of the most approachable premium bourbons available. Angel’s Envy Rye — Straight rye finished in Caribbean rum casks. Tropical fruit, brown sugar, and vanilla on a spicy rye base. One of the most distinctive rye expressions available. Angel’s Envy Cellar Collection — Annual limited releases using unique finishing barrels (Oloroso sherry, Cognac, Madeira, tawny port). Allocated, high-proof, and highly collectible. The Angel’s Share The name references the portion of whiskey that evaporates during barrel aging — the angels are envious of what remains, because what’s left is so good. {"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"FAQPage","mainEntity":[{"@type":"Question","name":"Does port barrel finishing make Angel's Envy sweet?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"It adds dried fruit and dark berry notes that make it smoother and more fruit-forward, but it’s not sweet like a flavored whiskey.
