Coil Tattoo Machines

About

Coil tattoo machines use electromagnetic coils to drive the needle, giving the classic hit and sound many traditional artists prefer. We carry coil machines from Aluminator, Ironclad, Damascus, the Shogun Series and our own WorldWide Tattoo Supply line. What to compare: Liner or shader: liners are tuned for crisp lines; shaders and color packers are tuned for smooth shading and saturation. Some frames convert between the two. Coil wraps: listings note the wrap count (for example 8-wrap or 10-wrap), which affects how the machine hits. Frame material and weight: aluminum frames are lighter; steel and iron frames add weight and stability.
