A hammock is one of the simplest ways to turn a backyard, balcony or camping spot into a place of genuine relaxation. Tree mounting is the most natural hammock installation, but requires appropriately spaced trees (typically 3-5m apart depending on hammock length, with enough overhead clearance). For backyards, parks and camping spots with suitable trees, a hammock hung between them with quality carabiners and tree straps is the simplest and most effective setup. Freestanding hammock stands solve the no-trees problem. Steel-frame stands are stable, weather-resistant and designed to be left outdoors permanently.
