About
A home sauna brings the health and wellness benefits of regular sauna use to your property — without the scheduling, cost and travel of a gym or day spa. Our range covers indoor infrared saunas in 1 to 4-person sizes, outdoor barrel saunas, and sauna accessories including ladles, buckets, thermometers and aromatherapy stones. The regular use of saunas has a well-documented body of health research behind it: cardiovascular benefits, improved sleep quality, muscle recovery, stress reduction and reduced risk of all-cause mortality in frequent users are among the associations found in long-term studies. The principal barrier for most Australians has been access — a home sauna removes that barrier. Infrared saunas are the most common home sauna choice in Australia. Rather than heating the air in the cabin (as traditional Finnish saunas do), infrared saunas use radiant infrared heating elements that warm the body directly. This produces a comfortable heat at lower ambient temperatures (typically 45-60°C vs 70-90°C for traditional steam saunas), making them accessible for people who find traditional sauna heat overwhelming. Infrared saunas heat up in 15-20 minutes and consume significantly less electricity than traditional heaters. Traditional steam saunas use an electric heater to heat a pile of stones, which store and release heat throughout the session. Water poured over the stones generates steam (known as 'löyly' in Finnish), increasing humidity and intensifying the perceived heat without changing the air temperature significantly. This is the traditional sauna experience that many people find deeply satisfying. Our indoor and outdoor barrel saunas use traditional heating systems. Barrel saunas — cylindrical wooden structures housed outdoors — are increasingly popular in Australian homes with sufficient outdoor space. The cylindrical shape maximises interior volume relative to surface area, improving heat efficiency and providing an architecturally interesting feature
