A Landmark of the Langhe Beni di Batasiolo is one of the most prominent and respected names in Piedmont. Owned by the Dogliani family , who have been rooted in the region’s viticulture for five generations, the estate took its modern form in 1978 with the acquisition of the historic Kiola winery. Today, Batasiolo manages over 140 hectares of prime estate vineyards, making it one of the largest family-owned wineries in the Barolo zone. The name "Beni" refers to the historic estates or "farms" that comprise their holdings, emphasizing an unbreakable bond between the farmer, the family, and the soil. The Power of the Cru What sets Batasiolo apart is its extraordinary portfolio of Single Vineyard Crus (MGAs) . While many producers source fruit from across the region, Batasiolo owns significant plots in five of the most prestigious Barolo areas, allowing them to showcase the distinct "terroir fingerprint" of each site: Cerequio & Brunate: Located in La Morra, these vineyards are world-renowned for producing Barolos of immense aromatic elegance, floral perfume, and silky tannins. Bussia: A legendary site in Monforte d’Alba, yielding wines with a harmonious balance of power, volume, and complex notes of sweet tobacco. Briccolina & Boscareto: Situated in the white soils of Serralunga d’Alba, these crus produce the most structured, powerful, and age-worthy expressions, characterized by notes of tar, leather, and undergrowth.
