Terroir & Viticulture Soil & Geography: The soul of Château Giscours lies in its three massive, deep Garonne gravel rises ( croupes de graves ). These gravel mounds offer exceptional natural drainage, radiant heat retention for steady ripening, and deep clay-limestone subsoils that force vine roots deep into the earth, shielding them during dry vintages. Grape Varieties & Farming: Cabernet Sauvignon (~60–65%): Anchors the estate’s wines with intense black currant, graphite notes, firm spine, and long-term cellaring power.
