The charcoal is sold in natural pieces, or compressed into hexagonal briquettes. Braai woods are extremely dense, sun-dried (predominantly South African) logs with high calorific properties that provide an intense, long-lasting heat for your fire. Traditionally used for cooking on the braai (grill), these firewood logs are suitable for use on a range of burning appliances. Beech logs perfectly compliment wood fired pizza ovens. Compressed Beech wood produces low smoke, a delicate flavour and hot flames. The compression process removes even more internal moisture, meaning each log burns with a super hot temperature and cleaner burn. Wood pellets can also be used on pizza ovens designed to burn them.
