In 2005 and long before COMANDANTE®, Bernd Braune and his family founded their speciality coffee roastery Supremo just outside Munich, Germany. There were some good electrical grinders on the market, but these big, heavy, and expensive machines didn't always make sense for the typical home user, nor for the sourcing trips that Braune and his family were making. After years of research and development, production of Comandante® grinders began in 2013, and t he current Comandante® C40 Mk4 Nitro Blade® was launched in autumn 2021.
