FOR TERRARIUM CARE TIPS, SEE BELOW! Growing carnivorous plants in a terrarium is a beautiful way to display them; many will enjoy the increased humidity and grow lights! We don’t recommend starting with a planted in terrarium as mixing different genera of carnivorous plants, in a planted in setting, is very nuanced and complicated. Start out leaving your plants in pots and get to know each plants individual care needs before you make it harder on yourself! If you want to do a planted in terrarium try to stick to plants of the same type as they will have the same soil, water and lighting needs; all Pinguicula for instance! Temperate plants like flytraps and Sarracenia are tricky to grow in terrariums. They need very high light, good airflow and lots of bugs (or Maxsea fertilizer applied every other week) but they can be grown in terrariums if you stick to shorter grower Sarracenia , have high light (10-12 hour daylights about 8-10” from the plants depending on the light), and you remove them to provide a chilly winter dormancy. You can skip dormancy 1-2 years but eventually the plants will start to do poorly and die. Some people choose to skip dormancy until their plant stops doing well and simply replace them with new ones! How to build a Ping Wall CLICK HERE How to build a Ping Rock CLICK HERE
