AGM is still the sensible choice for a lot of builds. Sealed, spill-proof and happy on its side, from 60Ah up to 260Ah, with no management system to fit and no fuss about charging in the cold. Delkor, Full River and Giantz among the brands here. Plan on half the rating and it will last. Drawing an AGM below 50 percent shortens its life sharply, so a 120Ah AGM is realistically a 60Ah battery, and sizing it that way is the difference between three years and eight. Weight and case dimensions are listed because AGM is heavy and the tray has to suit.
