The join is the part that fails, so it is the part worth getting right. Tinned copper lugs in 4mm² through 70mm², with M6, M8 and M10 stud holes, plus butt connectors for extending a run without a junction box. Every listing states the cable size and the stud, because a lug that is one size over crimps to a loose, warm joint. A proper crimp, not a squashed one. Hydraulic and ratchet crimpers for the heavy sizes are here alongside the lugs. On anything from 25mm² up, pliers and optimism will cost you more in voltage drop than the tool costs to buy once.
