Canopy humidifier filters are designed to collect and trap minerals and prevent them from being dispersed into the air. Though we use evaporative humidifier filters, any clogged and dirty filters can become breeding grounds for mold. Calcium and magnesium are found in most tap water; when they show up as discoloration on your filter, it’s time for a replacement. Humidifier filter replacement is recommended every 5–7 weeks to keep your device performing well. It’s also important to make sure you order the correct filter for your device.
