Desag produces machine-drawn antique glass in Germany using the Fourcault process, which gives the striations and filigree surface of mouth-blown antique with uniform thickness and excellent flatness. That combination makes it far easier to score and cut than true antique glass, and considerably less expensive. Desag glass is made for leaded and foiled work rather than kiln forming, so keep it out of the kiln.
