Fisher Research Laboratory holds the oldest name in the business, founded in 1931 by Gerhard Fisher, who patented the first portable metal detector. The modern range reflects that engineering-led history rather than chasing features: the F series covers coin and relic hunting at sensible money, the Gold Bug family remains one of the best-regarded VLF gold platforms ever built, and the CZ and Impulse machines are serious beach and water detectors.
