Garrett has been building detectors in Texas since 1964, and the ACE and AT ranges have probably introduced more people to the hobby than any other machines on the market. Their reputation rests on two things: detectors that do what the manual says without a season of study, and a service operation that still supports machines decades old. The current range runs from the ACE series through the waterproof AT family to the VORTEX line and the Axiom for gold prospecting, alongside the Pro-Pointer pinpointers that most detectorists use whatever brand of detector they swing.
