A cold-weather tradition that goes back hundreds of years, forcing bulbs indoors brings a bit of springtime cheer into the home during the long days of winter. The bulbs featured here are perfect for forcing. They also make wonderful holiday gifts for special clients or friends! Amaryllis bloom about 6-8 weeks after planting. For Christmas blooms, plant around Oct. 30 - Nov. 3; for Thanksgiving blooms, plant around Oct. 3-8. To stagger planting and blooming, store bulbs at about 50°F.
