Boxing gloves are cushioned gloves that boxers wear during fights or training sessions. They protect the hands of the boxer from injury in the course of fighting. There are specialised boxing gloves that are used for practice and sparring only. Boxers wear the gloves over a hand warp for extra protection of the fingers. For practice, they are made of light materials such as leather mittens or vinyl so the boxer can comfortably punch boxing bags with them.
