Solid brass, not brass-plated. Every fitting on this page is cast or machined from brass through its full thickness, so it will never flake or wear back to a base metal underneath. Left unlacquered, brass darkens into a warm patina over months of handling. Lacquered pieces hold their bright golden tone for far longer.
