Why we started making Mary Janes In 2024 a friend gifted my sister a pair of Mary Janes. I watched her wear them more than anything else she owned. She was not dressing up for anything. She just wanted something for college that looked better than a flat and did not hurt like a heel. That space, between a flat and a proper heel, was not something we were selling into at the time. So in late 2024 we added our first pair, a glossy slingback block heel with a buckle. The repeat orders started almost immediately and they have not stopped.
