Alpaca yarns are known for being incredibly soft and warm, and the alpaca and alpaca blend yarns we offer are no exception. There are two kinds of alpaca, Suri and Huacaya. Suri alpaca, used in our Perennial yarn, has a straight, smooth, and strong fiber structure which makes it ideal for a sock yarn. Huacaya, primarily used in Alpaca Elegance, has a lofty curl pattern which created insulating warmth. All of our alpaca yarns are sourced in North and South America from farms and ranches we know and trust.
