Filcolana has been in business for more than 40 years. The company was founded in 1972 by the Hald family, who ran it until 1995. The Olsen family then took over the company, and they still own Silkeborg Uldspinderi today. In 2009 Nanna Gudmand-Høyer, took over the company and now run it with the help of her talented employees and a team of resourceful freelance knitting and crochet designers.
