关于
.223 Remington ammunition for pest control, varminting and range work, stocked across factory loads from ADI, Hornady, Federal, Norma, PMC, Sellier & Bellot and Winchester, in single boxes and bulk ammo cans when we can get them. Projectile weight is the decision that matters, and your barrel twist decides what you can use. A 1:12 twist will not stabilise the heavies, a 1:9 handles up to about 69gr, and a 1:8 or faster runs the 75gr and 77gr match bullets properly. For foxes, rabbits and general vermin work, 40gr to 55gr soft points and polymer-tipped varmint loads open fast and drop energy where you want it. For goats and larger pests where penetration matters, step up to a 60gr or 62gr bonded or heavier-jacketed load. For range and competition, 69gr and 77gr match hollow points hold their line in wind far better and are worth the extra cost past 300 metres. Note that .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO are not fully interchangeable. A rifle chambered in 5.56 will safely shoot .223, but the reverse is not always true because of the shorter throat in a .223 chamber. Check your barrel markings if you are unsure. Ammunition sales require a current firearms licence in the matching category, verified before dispatch. Ships Australia-wide with tracking, or collect from the Roseville Chase store.
