A2 Stainless steel is a great choice for many projects. While not as strong as our strongest alloy steel or Titanium products, they still have a very respectable Tensile Strength of 700 MPa putting them about halfway between US Grade 2 and Grade 5 steel (or Metric Class 5.8 and 8.8 if you prefer). A2 is also often called A2-70 or 18-8. Stainless shines, literally, as a highly corrosive resistant metal that is strong and relatively inexpensive.
