Ratio began in 2012, motivated by the question of why home coffee makers hadn’t evolved to become beautiful, long-lasting appliances in your kitchen, sort of like Italian espresso machines. Around the same time that Ratio was founded, my team at Clive Coffee launched the LUCCA line to offer the best of modern technology in classic Italian formats.
