Our Meat Boxes bring together some of the finest Swaledale produce, reflecting the quality, flavour and variety found across our native breed meat range. Some boxes focus on a particular meat, such as lamb, mutton or pork, whilst others offer mixed selections, steak, sausages or cuts chosen for the barbecue. Across the collection, you will find grass fed, dry aged beef, hung on the bone for over 28 days, outdoor reared native breed pork, pasture fed lamb and mutton, free range chicken, park reared venison from the Harewood Estate, and our award winning sausages and dry cured bacon. All are sourced from small scale traditional farms and producers chosen for their commitment to flavour, provenance and responsible farming. At Swaledale Butchers, we work with a network of around 30 independent family farms and smallholdings, many of them based in and around the Yorkshire Dales. These farmers rear hardy native livestock breeds using traditional, low input systems that support healthy soils, biodiversity and the character of the surrounding landscape. By choosing a Swaledale Meat Box, you directly support small British farms and help preserve the native livestock breeds that remain an important part of rural life in The Dales.
