At the southern tip of Kyushu, Kagoshima is home to a thriving community of artisans, including potter Kido-san. His studio, One Kiln, is nestled in a residential neighborhood, where he creates handmade pottery deeply rooted in the landscape around him. From the ash-rich soils of Sakurajima volcano to clay gathered in the surrounding countryside, his work reflects both his creativity and his connection to Kagoshima.
