For thousands of years, Omani families lived amongst Wadi Dawkah’s frankincense trees, protecting, harvesting and trading frankincense, the “Gold of the Desert”. In 2000, Wadi Dawkah’s contribution to Omani heritage, culture, and biodiversity was recognised by UNESCO. Amouage’s stewardship continues this legacy.
